Finding Time + Taking Breaks

When’s the last time you took a break?

Chobani Flips through their Break You Make campaign is encouraging all of us to recognize someone who needs to take a break. I nominate…*drumroll please* YOU! I think all of us need to take a break! Taking a moment here and there helps you approach life with your best, instead of just what’s left. Read on for some tips and advice for making time for a break.

Finding time unburdened by tasks in our non-stop world can sometimes seem like just another project among the assignments, errands and undertakings. I’ve learned that the list of people and projects that vie for my time multiply as I get older. There are so many valuable things that deserve my attention throughout my days and I often push the most important priority aside.

Seeking God where you are at looks different for each person. It could be an hour of worship while sitting in traffic or a silent prayer during a test. We are loved with an overwhelming, relentless affection by a God who meets us where we are. The more that we fall in love with Him, the more we desire to honor Him with our time. Take time today to rest in the perfect peace that only He can deliver.

“Come near to God and He will come near to you.”

James 4:8

There’s a whole world outside of your to-do list. God created us to live a rich and abundant life here on earth. Push the pause button and enjoy some time to go on a walk, have a cup of tea, or simply just relish in the stillness and beauty of this blessed life. Do what makes your soul happy!

“Take 20 minutes of silence. If you’re really busy, take an hour”

How are you going to take a break this week?
